Dodger baseball is back, and the fans are gearing up for another epic Dodgers opening day.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will take on the San Diego Padres on Monday, April 3 at 1 p.m., and the celebrations begin early. Like previous years, Philippe’s will be a popular spot both before and after the home opener.
Fans can arrive at Philippe’s as early as 9 a.m. to enjoy some pre-game fun, including the Bud Light Girls, craft beer samples from local breweries, great food and the chance to win two tickets to a future Dodger game.
The main festivities take place before the game, including two additional beer stations for quick fill-ups, but anyone cutting it close getting to the game can enjoy a French Dip after the game. Philippe’s is open until 10 p.m.
Philippe’s will raffle off a pair of tickets to a future Dodger game. When fans arrive at the restaurant, they will have the opportunity to fill out a raffle ticket to enter the drawing. The winner will be drawn and announced the next day on Philippe’s social media feeds, and the winner will be notified directly to arrange pick-up for their tickets to the upcoming game.
The restaurant is located less than two miles from Dodger stadium and directly across the street from Union Station where you can catch a ride on the Dodger Stadium Express bus. Service leaves Union Station every 5 – 10 minutes at Bus Bay 3 of the Patsaouras Transit Plaza. With a valid Dodger ticket, the ride is free on gameday. Food is permitted from outside Dodger Stadium, so don’t forget a few French Dips for the road. The Dodgers websites says non-alcoholic beverages of 1-liter or less are permitted as well, just no cans, bottles or thermoses.
On Opening Day only, last call for breakfast will be at 9 a.m.
Philippe the Original is located at 1001 N. Alameda St. in Downtown L.A.
